Man of La Mancha - I, Don Quixote

Eh tu Pedro?

Well, it has certainly been a strange and long journey. Long would refer more to time, than distance. Would that I could change anything about my journey I am vexed as to say that I would, or would not. Time has a way of not only making things more obvious, but it also has a way of making things more confusing, as well. I guess that is a part of the human condition. No?
It is with great pride, fear, and bravado, (all at once), that I at last launch my own blog. I, such as I am, a humble participant in the greatest endeavor of Mankind,....and Womankind..., the Great America, add my two cents to the blogoshpere. And since I am always late, and foolish enough to start a sentence with a conjunction, it only stands to reason that the blogosphere must be teetering on a cliff of destruction. So my unwitting reader........blog as fast as you dare to!
What would tempt me to blog before such a frightening prospect as the American critic? Stupidity of course! Did you think me an errant fool? No. You will not find me chasing windmills with clever musings. I am going to astonish all that will listen with such a mastery of wit and genius. I am going to state the obvious facts. I haven't any dog in the game. I am neither a Republican, nor a Democrat, nor have I ever been one or the other. I am just a man on a quest for truth in a world where truth is like a fish story. Somewhere in there is some fact among the embellishments and prejudice. I will try not to leave you behind, my poor reader, as I ride out and off to save everyone from the villains and monsters that threaten our way of living(?)
I will ask you the reader crazy thoughts of foolhardiness such as: "If the United States is in such dire straits why do we not close our trading borders, force those companies that have gone abroad to return those jobs to our soil, or face extermination, and return to a pre-WW2 state of mind?" What will you tell me? That trade is an imperative? An imperative to what? How does it help us, as a people? What do you think? If you can think, then what is your solution?
